Description of Research Focus:

My research focuses on improving the quality of life of kidney transplant recipients and persons with chronic kidney disease.  I am currently focusing on identifying the sexual concerns of kidney  transplant recipients. I have developed and validated a tool – the Sexual Concerns Questionnaire  (SCQ) – to measure these concerns and am working to develop patient centered interventions to  address the sexual concerns amenable to treatment. I am also working to modify the SCQ to be used with other transplant and chronic illness populations.
